The question I would like to present is the following: Who is now responsible to clean up the Gulf Oil Spill ? Should BP stay in the Gulf region until all of the oil is cleaned up and life is restored? Is this possible? What is the next step for the people of the Gulf region?
Review the website below. The website reviews the on going task of cleaning up the Gulf Region:

I thins that BP is responsible for the oil spill. They should stay in the Gulf until it is all the way cleaned up. It is possible with the help of others including the citizens of the Gulf. The citizens should continue with their lives and help clean it up.
ReplyDeleteBP is definitely responsible to clean up the oil spill, however they should also get help from the government because it is our country and it is the governments job to take care of our country. Yes, BP should stay until the spill is all clean and life is restored or at least send a couple advisors until the job is done. I do believe that life and envirmoment can be restored, but it may take up to five years or more. The next step for the people of the Gulf is to get back to their normal lives and have the government and BP take care of the oil spill.
ReplyDeleteIf BP is responsible for the oil spill then why bring citizens into helping clean up.
ReplyDeleteBut JJ why would we bring citizens to help clean up this mess if the BP is Responsible
ReplyDeleteI agree with Tameia....why should the citizens clean up the mess when BP is responsible! Tim: Why should the government have to pay to clean up BP's mess, and two the government doesn't have the money to be spending on cleaning. They are about to hit their debt celling, so where are we going to get the money...from China??
ReplyDeleteIn my beliefs...citizens shouldn't help at all. What's the point? It's BP's fault, their WORKERS caused the mess and they took longer than was needed to stop the oil from spilling! ...I honestly like to believe that they weren't taking the god forsaken issue seriously and had the mind of babies trying to find and create the SIMPLE solution.

BP is definitely responsible for this whole mess and they should be the ones to clean it up. The citizens are the one's suffering because of BP's mistake, they should not be the one's responsible to clean it up. Also, the government should not get involved in paying for anything, like Sara said we do not have the money to be spending on something that is not the governments’ problem. Plus, we are not in the position to barrow any money. In my belief, BP should stay until the oil spill is fully cleaned up and make sure that the oil is cleaned up as well as possible. Now, I don’t not believe that they should stay until life is restored, they have done enough damage, and it would take at least 5 years for things in the Gulf to turn around.
ReplyDeleteThis is not the government's problem so why would they be responsible for cleaning up BP's mess. The American government has thier own problems to handle and plus, where is the U.S going to fund the clean up. BP should definitely CLEAP UP THIER OWN MESS and in addition to that fund money to restore the natural eco-system. BP has already ruined numerous peoples and animals lives in the Gulf of Mexico, so the best thing to do now is assist this region as best as thehy can.
ReplyDeleteI believe that it is the responsibility of BP to clean up their own mess
